The Narrative:
In collaboration with Brass for Africa, we have launched “Music for Life Skills” to harness the transformative power of performance and rhythm. Like our expressive art programs, music serves as a universal language for children who have faced significant hardship.

The Curriculum:
Through this partnership, students receive professional music instruction that goes beyond the notes. The program focuses on the “Transferable Life Skills” inherent in music: discipline, teamwork, concentration, and leadership.

The Outcome:
Participation in the brass band and music theory sessions provides a unique platform for out-of-school and refugee youth to find their voice, build immense self-confidence, and gain a sense of belonging within a global creative community.
