Art of a Child

Literacy Clubs (LitClubs)

Literacy Clubs

An in-depth literacy and empowerment program run once a week .
LitClub is a space for joyful learning, creative self-expression, and community building.
LitClub members and their mentors come together in each session to share stories, build community, and develop as resilient changemakers and leaders.

By convening members and mentors, the program cultivates an environment conducive to reading, writing, story-sharing, community-building, and the development of resilience and leadership skills, guided by “The 7 Strengths curriculum”.

These clubs serve as nurturing environments for joyful learning, creative self-expression, and community cohesion, specifically tailored for children aged 8 to 15. Since its inception in 2016, Art of a Child LitClubs have reached a significant milestone, impacting the lives of 3,815 children and community mothers by 2024. Through this initiative, we strive to foster a love for learning, empower individuals, and build stronger, more resilient communities.
